Sorry it took a bit to get back with you. Our goal is to find a date when the tide will cide with our work schedule. We intend to start the process as soon as the water line recedes below the worki i. This would allow for the maximum amount of drying time possible before the next high tide. The form woulc made, off site, and placed around the pipe. Doing it that way should let us begin pouring the concrete iediately. Our intent is to use Fast -Setting, concrete mix, made by Quikrete. This concrete is formulated to set )-40 minutes. The forms would be left on for several days, then removed. What are your thoughts? Does this id like an acceptable approach? The one thing we need to make sure is that there will not be live concrete placed in the water. Could you go into more detail on this matter and indicate any type of drying agents and timing th Id be accomplished (i.e. low tide)? iks, t n: Jeremy Hardison[mailto:jeremy.hardison@carolinabeach.org] t: Tuesday, August 09, 2011 12:42 PM emy'Hardison ling Administrator vn of Carolina Beach 11 N. We then would form up a new stabiliz k and fill with concrete. The block will be 1' thick, 3' long and about 2.5' tall. The concrete would be pre mixed ied to the form by hand. No heavy machinery would be used. This outfall location is located between the 907 Canal Drive addresses. Just let me know if there are any concerns. Thanks for the assistance.
