I was recently on site, on September 14, 2011 to evaluate the permit applica guest. permit applicant has requested a permit to replace a floating dock and install a boatlift adjacent to an existing fixed pier. Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA), the Coastal Resources Commission (CRC) has established Rules for General and M 'mits for this type of development that are found in 15A NCAC 07H .1200 and 07H.0208 (b)(6). i have notified the Division of Coastal Management of your objections to this proposed development by letter received Au 2011. Your objections to this proposed development are related to the 15 foot setback requirement, the installation of thi itlift and floating dock, and the length of the pier structure located to the west of your property. The Division has reviewer ections, along with all aspects of this development proposal for consistency with the aforementioned Rules, which describe :'s standards and guidelines for this type of development. Our review of the proposed development has found it to be con i these Rules and the proposed floating dock appears to meet the 15 foot riparian setback requirement from you shared ri 1dor line. !r having given careful consideration to your objections to this proposed development, we have determined that the applii jest is consistent with the Rules of the CRC and the State's Coastal Management Program, and that all pre -requisites have sfied. Therefore, the Division of Coastal Management issued General Permit No. 57504-D on September 28, 2011, (copy ched) for the proposed development. iu wish to appeal this permit decision, you must file a Third Party Hearing Request Form with the Director of the Division o stal Management within 20 days of the permit issuance date.
