Following exp a re-examination of the project and project site may be ne to continue this certification. ,ETCH (SCALE: To: Heather Coats, CAMA Field Officer From: Chad Hicks, Caswell Beach Town Administrator Date: September 14, 2012 Request for Exemption for Maintenance and Repair of Parking Lot The Town of Caswell Beach is requesting an exemption from seeking a CAMA permit to repair a public access parking lot. The Town is proposing to grade the parking lot located in the 700 block of Caswell Beach Road. This parking lot is heavily used by visitors who make day trips to the beach. Town staff has an estimate states that this project will take one day and cost about 1450 dollars. The total area disturbed will be 21,000 square feet according to Brunswick County GIS. It is critical that these repairs be made to avoid damage to vehicles and potential trip hazards to visitors. All work will be done on the existing parking lot. No expansion of any kind will be undertaken during this project. Staff will make sure that no runoff of any sediment will occur during this project.
