Through coordination with Ms. Tere Barrett of the North Carolina Division
of Coastal Management, we have learned of your plans to construct a pier,
install a floating dock and install pilings on the Atlantic Intracoastal
Waterway (AIWW), Futch Creek, New Hanover County, North Carolina.
On April 1, 1988, we renewed general permit No. CESAW-0078-N-000-0056
(copy enclosed) that authorizes the maintenance, repair, construction, and
installation of piers, docks, boathouses, boatshelters, mooring pilings,
dolphins and jetties in navigable waters of the United States in the State of
North Carolina.
Your proposed work is authorized if you can comply with all permit
conditions. Please read the enclosed permit to prevent an unintentional
violation of Federal law.
