(Buddy) Fowler, Council Membei December 5, 2014 Tara MacPherson Division of Coastal Management 127 Cardinal Dr. Ext. Wilmington, NC 28405 Dear Tara, The town of Surf City Welcome Center is located at 102 North Shore Dr. The building is ocean front. The sand from the dune on the ocean side has slid down against the building over time and at this point is about 3 feet deep on the exterior wall of the building. The town would like to remove the sand from against the wall to prevent rot and termite damage to the structure. The section of the building that needs attention is 64 feet long. We would need to dig out about 3 feet deep and 4 feet wide down the length of the building. The sand will be hand dug and spread out over the existing dune. No equipment will be used. Thank you for your consideration on this matter. Sincerely, teve Padgett cV Building Inspector Surf City S Aq [ ll'7 `J? -, 0 1 t -Owk k-- )t3 a(;-T -4,n 4e,ir 4- —61d5 1 A+16,lq - I c © C. caUck-
