I am applying for the General Permit today. In the permit, I am applying for pushing sand from the high water mark landward to rebuild damaged dune vidth of each push I am applying for is 32'. The linear footage would be a total of 1000. 1 am attaching a site pla ,ing parameters of the project. The total is 2944'. As we discussed, some of the areas needing to be worked on ; ontiguous. Th cost for constructing a berm along 635' of beach was $9,750. We can reduce the unit cost significantly idering that you are looking at 1,000' rather than 635'. I am thinking the project would cost somewhere ieighborhood of $11,500 - $12,500. Let me know if this is out of line with the budget constraints and i )ossibly cut down on the linear footage of shoreline requiring work. Thanks again and talk to you soon n C. Robb was told by the Corps that there was no money allocated for this type of ity, and that the proposed project appeared to fall outside the scope of what the Corps considered to be the ral Project. F 1PM on 4/2/14, the Town had not gotten back with Robb about if or how they wished to proceed with the prc sponse to your inquiry, Robb contacted the Town and it does seem that they would like to proceed with the ?ct. Robb again went through the procedures required to obtain a GP 1800. Robb also contacted a contractor, Fown had been in contact with, and Robb was told that the project could be done in as little as three (3) days. i this in mind, and assuming that the Town began the GP permit process within the next couple of days, it is like a permit could be issued anywhere from early next week (4/7) to early the week after next (4/14) depending o quickly adjacent property owner notification requirements are satisfied. Assuming that the contractor can get k quickly following the issuance of the permit, the Town should have adequate time to get the project complet( ire the sea turtle nesting moratorium period begins on May 1.
