Wilmington, NC 28405-3845 Ref: 5918 Cedar Landing Road Wilmington, NC Dear Sir: On Friday I found a two page letter and sketch showing the proposed construction of a pier, gazebo, floating dock and 10,000 lb. boat lift for the property two lots away from my property. As I responded to you before, I still would like to raise my objection to constructing another pier when there is a community pier adjacent to this property. If this permit is approved, what would stop the property at 5914, and my property at 5910 from constructing our private pier resulting in four piers for three creek front properties? Surely this does not have the State's overall responsibility to protect the estuarine areas from a multitude of large piers at each lot on the creek when a community pier is available to dock small craft.
