On January 1, 2011, we renewed general permit No. 197800056, (copy enclosed), that authorizes the maintenance, repair, construction and installation of piers, docks, boathouses and boat shelters, mooring piles, dolphins, jetties and breakwater structures in navigable waters of the United States in the State of North Carolina pursuant to Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899. Your work is authorized by this permit provided it is accomplished in strict accordance with your proposed plans, the enclosed general conditions, and the following special conditions: 1. All work authorized by this permit must be performed in strict compliance with the attached plans, which are a part of this permit. 2. The docking facility must not extend further than 20 feet from the edge of the water/marsh boundary. 3.
