Wilmington, NC 28405 Dear Mr. Dail, I have included what I hope is all the required information and payment for a bulkhead permit for my property located at 110 Topsail Watch Lane, Hampstead, NC 28443. You may remember that I started this process with B&B Marine Construction? My original plan was to install a bulkhead and dock. You met with the owner Brandon Grimes and marked the edge of the marsh with pink flags so he knew where the bulkhead could be installed. Brandon "went missing" after clearing some brush and topsoil, and I have hired Richard Keck of Strata Earthworks to install a cement block type retaining wall instead of a wooden bulkhead. The dock builders are so busy I have elected to wait until one can commit to dates before filing for a dock permit. I included the completed Agent Authorization form in an effort to cover all bases and in the event that you need to meet with the contractor at the site to reconfirm the prior markings or install new ones. Richard's phone number is 910-279-0672. We both understand that he will need to obtain a building permit once a CAMA permit has been issued. Please accept my apology for having wasted your time with the prior contractor, I assure you this was never my intention. The previous contractor left the soil disturbed, and I want to begin installation of the retaining wall as soon as possible to avoid killing any of the old live oaks that have exposed roots. In this regard I have enclosed a self-addressed, pre -paid return envelope to help me in expediting this process. Your assistance is most appreciated.
