Mr. & Mrs. Maurer have retained our firm to apply for a pier and dock permit with the North
Carolina Division of Coastal Management. In accordance with the Division of Coastal
Management's (DCM) rules as an adjacent riparian property owner, you must be notified of this
permit request.
Enclosed is a copy of the Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Notification/Waiver Form for the
proposed project, and a drawing we have prepared describing the proposed pier and dock.
If you have no objections to this proposal, please check the space provided on the enclosed form
and return it to our office within thirty (30) days of receipt of this notice. Any comments
regarding the proposed project should be directed to the Division of Coastal Management. Such
comments will be considered by the Department in reaching a final decision on this application.
No comments within the thirty (30) days will be considered as no objection.

North Shore Drive, Sunset Beach, within Brunswick County. The submittal package includes the

I. One (1) copy of our design plan, on 18" x 24" sheet;
2. One (1) copy of our design plan, on 11" x 17" sheet;
3. An Agent Authorization Form authorizing East Coast Engineering & Surveying, PC to act on
property owner's behalf;
4. Copies of the August 10, 2017 letters to Richard & Linda Lillis and Brian & Ragan Daigle,
notifying the adjacent riparian property owners of the proposed development;
5. Copies of the USPS Certified Mail Receipts;
6. Copies of the executed Non -Objection Statements dated, August 1, 2017; and
7. A check in the amount of $206 to cover the required application fee.
