Ed, Helen and Mark Borrell & and Roy and Sian Chipley,
We would like to replace the dock at 50 Craven Street, which was broken
up during Hurricane Matthew and has outlived its life expectancy. We
want to replace the current dock and walkway with a new dock of the same
size and a walkway made out of aluminum. It will have the same footprint
as it has been since the house was purchased in 1987. We would also
like to attach the removeable floating wave runner dock perpendicular to
the canal wall on the empty lot side of the property (Chipley side).
We are planning to leave the anchoring platform (made of 6x6 treated
lumber cemented into the resurfaced (2016) canal wall and fish station. It
appears the walkway was not originally centered in the property, resulting
in the dock having been within the 15 foot boundary to the property line on
the Borrell side (approximately 13 ft to line). Attaching the waverunner
dock to the Chipley side (current empty lot) will leave a 12 ft boundary to
the property line.
Please see the attached proposal. We would like to get your approval to
waive the 15ft requirement on each side to replace the dock with a same
size structure. Would you be willing to sign it where required and send
back to me via email or in the enclosed envelopte at your earliest
convenience?
