Dear Holley,
On behalf of Orton Plantation Holdings, LLC, I am requesting a CAMA General Permit to
authorize the repair and replacement of two bulkheads located immediately downstream of the
Orton Pond Spillway off Plantation Road near Orton Plantation. The bulkheads are located on
property owned by Orton Camp, LLC. This activity is necessary in order to stabilize the eroded
embankment in that location. The bulkheads will be reconstructed in their present location and
dimensions. Following their construction, the bulkheads will be backfilled with clean clay
material.
I have enclosed drawings detailing the proposed activity. Based on my discussion with Debbie
Wilson, we have notified the adjacent riparian landowners. They were identified as Micheal B.
Davis etals c/o Michael Davis, Col. Chris Hart of Sunny Point and Jim Tyler of NCDOT. I have
also enclosed the signed Letter of Permission from the property owner and the $400 General
Permit fee check. Please contact me with any questions that you may have regarding this project.
