described above is hereby certified as exempt from the
CAMA permit requirements. This exemption to CAMA
permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of
your obtaining any other State, Federal, or Local
authorization.
This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA permit
is valid for 120 days from the date of issuance. Following
expiration, a re-examination of the project and project site may
be necessary to continue this certification.

Any person who proceeds with a development without the con-
sent of a CAMA official under mistaken assumption that the
development is exempted, will be in violation of the CAMA if there
is a subsequent determination that a permit was required for the
development.
The applicant certifies by signing this exemption that the
applicant will abide by the conditions of this exemption.

Brendan as a follow up to the email below the structure has a total of 68 piles. We plan to sister up to 34 piles
such that the work will be < /= 50% Repair. Thanks! Please let me know if you need additional information.

Subject: 837 Salt Water Lane Proposed Repairs
Good morning Mr. Brock,
We hope that all is well with you this week.
Sea Dog Marine Construction will be repairing up to 35 piles +/- for the pier head only by sistering new piles to
existing piles at 837 Salt Water Lane SW, Supply NC. No piles will be sister along the pier walkway. Proposed work
will be for the purposed of maintaining the existing structure only. No expansion or additions are proposed.
Proposed repairs are anticipated to be < 50% of *.he market value of the existing structure.
Sea Dog's interpretation of 15A NCAC 07J.0210 is tha* this work is considered repair as opposed to replacement
and that permitting by CAMA will not be required. Can you concur with our interpretation of the rules?
Is any additional documentation required to proceed with construction as far as CAMA is concerned? Please find
the following attachments to this email?
