The proposed project to be located and constructed as
described above is hereby certified as exempt from the
CAMA permit requirements. This exemption to CAMA
permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of
your obtaining any other State, Federal, or Local
authorization.
This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA permit
is valid for 120 days from the date of issuance. Following
expiration, a re-examination of the project and project site may
be necessary to continue this certification.

sent of a CAMA official under mistaken assumption that the
development is exempted, will be in violation of the CAMA if there
is a subsequent determination that a permit was required for the
development.

Mr. McGuire,
We will be doing the 50% repairs to the floating dock and fixed platform at 162 Sand Dollar Street,
Holden Beach N.C. 28469. The property owners are Michael and Debra Fincher. As per your
conversation on site with the property owner and Joe we will be doing all that you stated and approved
according to CAMA regulations which are as follows:
(Approximate 8` x 16') Floating dock: installing all new bands, joists and floats and keep existing decking
and flipping it over if homeowner desires.
(Approximate 4' x 6') Fixed small platform: level and attach it to the bulkhead and install new decking
with pickets on two sides and a new gate.
We will be installing an approximately 34" x 14' aluminum ramp.
Please email the exemption to me as soon as possible. Thank you for all your help in this matter!
