As you may know our grandfather, Jather McLawhorn was one of the Principals responsible for the development at Broadview along with Barrow, Smith, and Harker in the mid 1930's. Eventually Jather's partners sold off all their interests in the development, leaving Jather and his heirs (now, Susan and I) the only remaining owners whose title is derived from the original dedicator of the streets. It was always our family's intention to keep Barrow street free of private encumbrance so it could remain available to all who owned in Broadview. As time has passed the neighborhood has evolved and interests have as well. As you know the Grisettes needed to purchase more property so they could meet the requirements for a larger house. Susan and I want to be good neighbors and try to accommodate and consider all the folks in the "hood" so we are glad to finally have the waterfront adjacent to your property sold to you at, for lack of a better phrase a "bargain'. I have signed the statement for the pier and bulkhead work that you are getting -done. -As you -can -see -I -have -checked -the -box not to--waive-the 15' setback but this is something we can discuss as in all likelihood we will ask the bulkhead contractor doing your work to carry on east to the Grisettes.
