General Permit Approval Request
Mr. Davenport,
Per our recent discussions, please see the attached documents for our request for a general permit
approval. This request for a general permit is for a proposed dredge to the area adjoining the existing
boat ramp (Straits Landing BAA / 1648 Harkers Island Road, Straits, NC) and existing channel out to
the intercoastal waterway. Attached with this application are the following items:
• Dredge Plan
• Notification Documentation indicating adjacent property owners were notified (or attempts)
• Receipt for Transfer of Funds ($400 Application Fee)
Dredging will take place within the limits of the previously approved major permit and will involve
less than 1,000 cubic yards of dredge material being removed. Please let me know if you need any

described above and in attachments hereto. The undersigned agrees that all such work shall be
done in accordance with the requirement of the Uniform Floodplain Management Policy of
Executive Order 123. A certificate of Building Elevation (if applicable) and a Certificate of
Compliance will be issued in accordance with Section 7E and 7H, of Executive Order No. 123
before the facility is occupied. The Certificates will be filed with the Department of
Administration, State Construction Office.
