It is good to see your beautiful property being enjoyed by you, your family and friends. I am in receipt of your communication regarding your CAMA permit to put a dock on the property you own on Dills Point Road in Beaufort, NC. I am not in opposition to your dock permit but would like to ask that lights on the dock be motion sensor ones so there is not a constant light during the night. Mr. Golden, who is also a neighbor, and I have made efforts to reduce night lights over the years. Too, this seems a good time to say that Mr. Golden and I have been the sole contributors to the upkeep of the unpaved length of of Dills Point Road.. With the increased traffic on Dills Point Road, wed like to talk with you about a maintenance plan so we can all access our properties with a minimum of wear and tear on the road and our vehicles- ] look forward to talking with you and invite you to stop by anytime. I am sorry to bother you with this! Raiford and 1 are in the process of obtaining a CAMA General Permit which is defined as one that poses little or no threat to the environment. A Division of Coastal Management field officer has done a site visit and has condoned the permit. We are required to notify our adjacent riparian property owners of the proposed work. We would like to add a boat dock along the north facing bank of the property. Please see the enclosed map of the proposed dock and details. The permit requires confirmation that the adjacent property owners have been notified by certified mail of the proposed work and the permit requires instructions to property owners that they may provide written comments to the Division of Coastal Management within 10 days of receipt of the notice or that no response to this notice is interpreted as no objection.
