DAVIS Director Mr. Joel Williams 1306 Walnut Street Cary, NC 27511 Dear Mr. Williams: NORTH CAROLINA Environmental Quality November 04, 2019 By First Class Mail and by email to pollyman4u@aol,com This letter is in response to your 11/01/2019 email correspondence to me [with attachments] at the Division of Coastal Management regarding your objections to the proposed residential dock project by Mr. Russell Newbold. The location of the proposed project is in the New River, at 231 Riverside Drive, Sneads Ferry, in Onslow County, North Carolina. The Division issued CAMA General Permit #75741-C to Mr. Russell Newbold on 10/23/2019 for the construction of a proposed 5' by 200' fixed dock which includes a 12' by 12' fixed platform and two 13' by 13' boatlifts (boat slips). A copy of the permit is attached for your review. The Division has reviewed your concerns and objections to the proposed project. However, the Division has determined that the proposed development complies with the rules of the Coastal Resources Commission, specifically at 15A NCAC 07H .1200 General Permit for Construction of Piers and Docking Facilities. If you wish to contest the Division's decision to issue this permit, you may file a request for a Third Party Hearing. The request for a hearing will be considered by the Chair of the Coastal Resources Commission.
