This email will confirm that we are removing the request for a bulkhead from the application we recently made for
installation at the above property. You indicated that the location of this bulkhead made it effectively a retaining wall
which would come under the authority of the Town of Morehead City. Please issue the permit for the pier only and
we will apply to Morehead City if we want to pursue the retaining wall.
Please let me know when the permit has been issued and I will come pay the $200 fee and sign it on behalf of the
property owner. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for replying to my email. We are pleased a bulkhead will not be built on the property adjacent to ours and
that we will be notified of any future construction.
We do not object to the construction of a pier, though it will be quite a bit longer than the existing structure.
Again, thank you for keeping us informed. I am especially pleased with the assistance and response that you and Mr.
Brownlow have shown us.
