Dear Mr. Connell;
I am enclosing a copy of the CAMA Dredge& Fill permit#70274 that you issued in May 2017 for proposed
additional rip rap. I would like to request that this permit be reissued so that I can place rip rap in front
of this portion of the retaining wall at this time. The area of proposed revetment is still 35'x10'x4 feet.
On two other issues, I would like to request that I be allowed to add to existing structures.
First, I would like to ask permission to add additional 2x12 boards to the top of the 35 foot wall behind
the request area above. The wall in this area has a sloped decline of 22 inches from the main wall and is
an area of wash over in a storm. I believe that the new rip rap combined with the increased wall height
will aid greatly in the current soil loss to storms.
Secondly, I would like to add to existing rip rap so long as I do not increase the existing foot print. I would
like to confirm that I can add up to 50%to top of approximately 50 feet of the west end of the existing rip
rap structure with additional rip rap.
Please advise me as to whether I can add to the existing structures,and if I might have the attached dredge
and Fill permit approved.
