As Brad mentioned I am now the CAMA representative covering Pamlico County so I am just trying to get up to speed on
the Hobucken Waterfowl Impoundment project. I have been looking to see if permits were issued for the pump platform
or rip rap shown in the drawing and I cannot locate a permit for either. Do either of you have a copy of a permit? If I
understand correctly you are planning on building a 6' x 6' platform and a 7'x 3.6' walkway and have a 7' x 7' grouted rip
rap basin in the canal. If this is correct we would require a pier general permit and a rip rap general permit. In order to
apply for these permits you will have to provide written notification from the adjacent riparian property owners and the
appropriate permit fees ($200 for the platform and $400 for the rip rap).
How are you planning on installing the rip rap and grouting it? The Division of Water Resources does not allow the use of
live concrete in water, are you planning on using a coffer dam and de-watering?Also the below emails mention a
bulkhead is this still being planned? Is the culvert being replaced as well?

am trying to put together what I did previously.
This project included replacing an existing pump and an existing aluminum half round and we were going to repair some
external erosion but we decided to keep that repair internal by building a setback dike. I believe this work fell under
your general permit. Were we to get a ►etter confirming the work is covered, or is the email from you saying we are
covered all we need. They have begun the work and the contractor asked for a copy of the permits and all I have is the
Corps permit in the file and our email correspondence.

An individual permit was not issued, other than the Corps permit.There was an existing pump with platform we are
replacing, (it is larger to accommodate the control panel) and the wcs we are installing is replacing an existing in the
same location as well. It was my understanding a permit wasn't required since these were considered repairs it would
fall under the General Permit for repairs.
I forgot I need to revised the permit drawings to match the final construction plans. We removed the external rip rap
and bulkhead so the only impact is the platform and replacement of the pump and piping. The WCS and culvert are to
be replaced. Rip Rap is proposed for external bank stabilization but will not extend beyond the dike toe. This will be
hand placed with no grout. See attached revised drawings.
We did notify the adjacent owners, see attached.
Since we are not doing the rip rap at the pump, is there still $400 for rip rap at the existing WCS replacement? Just let
me know the total amount and we will arrange payment.
