I spoke with you last week regarding a repair permit on behalf of Carla H. Edwards and her wishes to
have her Bogue Sound pier repaired on the same footprint at 206 Emerald Drive, Emerald Isle, NC.
Per your instruction I have enclosed a letter from the adjacent property owner to the east waiving the 15
foot encroachment of the pier into the side yard setback.

We are preparing to repair our pier which is just to the west of your property. The footprint will
remain the same. However, the pier encroaches the 15 ft. side setback from our shared
property line. In order for us to obtain a permit for the repair a waiver of this encroachment
from you is required.
Please indicate your willingness to grantor withhold this waiver by singing below. If you choose
to withhold you waiver leave the signature blank, and in either case please return this letter in
the self-addressed stamped envelope enclosed.
