Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Heather!
Hope you are doing well.
I just spoke with Roy Brownlow and he told me to get up with you about some repairs to my dock.
Just so happens I was going home today and saw Derrick Smith from Bogue Banks fixing the 20`h walkway.
I asked him if he could fix my dock while he had barge down the creek. Of course he said he would need permits first,
which is why I called Roy.
I need 4-6 poles straightened out, 4 new poles reset, and a prob a few just banged back down.
Eventually I will redo the stringers and the decking boards. I just wanted to take advantage while he was down my creek
to do the things I can't.
Can you get me one of those "Maintenance Exemption Certificates" (I think that's what Roy called it) So I can give it to
Derrick?
