Hello Ms.Wilson,
On behalf of Palladin Productions, LLC (a subsidiary of Warner Brothers TV), I am
requesting a general permit for a temporary structure to be constructed for the
purpose of filming the TV series, Swamp Thing. We are requesting permission to
build this structure on Smith Creek, directly behind and adjacent to EUE Screen
Gems Studios. We are also based at Screen Gems Studios.
Our plan is to allow a portion of the temporary structure to be built on pilings
extending into the creek (while NOT blocking the navigable channel). A portion of
the structure will also be attached to the land. Please see the attached map and
drawings.
This façade will be an exterior only set where we will film boats and actors pulling
up to and away from the set. As such,there will be no electrical, plumbing or
mechanical systems in this structure. The set is not habitable.
The Smith Creek area is crucial to the success of filming The Swamp Thing television
series in North Carolina. The show is set in a fictional town that centers on the
waterways of the town. The Lower Cape Fear Region provides unparalleled water
access to natural beauty for filming. We look forward to continued success creating
and shooting this project in North Carolina.
