As per our previous conversation the other day, we have been contracted by Waterfronte Villas, Harbour Point, Federal Point Yacht Club and Ships Watch HOA
to make Hurricane Florence repairs.
Waterfronte Villas, located at 100 Spencer Farlow Dr on Carolina Beach had some minor damage to their docks. I have attached a drawing depicting the
damages and the locations. There are a couple of broken piles that need replacing along with a 2' x 24' section of dock that requires replacement.The only
other items were replacing a damaged girder on one of the stationary piers and reinstalling 4-6 loose floats.
Harbour Pointe, located on Green Turtle Lane on Carolina Beach had several of their rotten piles break. There are (8)that are confirmed to be cracked or
broken and another(9)that are questionable. We are proposing to remove and replace all (17) of them. I have included a drawing showing the location of
the piles. The only other damage they had was a couple of end bands with pile rings that need to be replaced.
Federal Point faired pretty well. They had (1) broken pile and approximately(8) 2"x 10" bands on the floating docks that need to be replaced.
Ships Watch HOA, located off of River Rd had minor damage also. The community main dock lost (2) 6' x 8' access ramps that need to be replaced. Several of
the finger piers were damaged and ended up in the marsh. We are proposing to salvage them out. I have attached a drawing showing which ones were
damaged and where.
All of the damages on these projects are a direct result of Hurricane Florence. We are fortunate that the storm wasn't worse considering the impact on our
area.
