Good afternoon Kutlin,
I conducted some compliance/monitoring of permit sites yesterday In Nags Head. One of the sites
that I checked was Ashley Long's at 524 S. Hesperides Drive (i.e. jet ski lifts (GP]1521], as well as
the Exemption for platform repair). I wanted to follow up with staff at Lyn Small Inc. in regard to the
lifts. The permit was for the installation of 2-PWL (1 piting/I!ft on the front of the platform and 1
piling/lift on the left side of the platform.
• There was 1 PW Vpiling on the front, and the lilt mechanism was swung over/stored on the
deck.
• Nothing was installed on the left side of the platform; however, there was an extra piling
installed on the left side of the pier.
o The permit is still valid until 10106/18. Would you mind verifying if the piling installed on
the left side of the pier was for the purpose of the other PWL?
