This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

It is not it is a outfall point that drains approximately 15 to 20 homes and all we have is a letter that was signed by the
homeowners and it was drafted by the towns attorney for the town to obtain access. Attached are the two copies for
those properties

DRAINAGE MAINTENANCE PROPERTY OWNER RELEASE
The Town of Beaufort seeks your permission as the owner of record of the below identified
property to clean, reestablish or otherwise maintain the drainage structure located on your
property. The Town seeks your permission as a drainage easement granting the Town the
right to maintain this part of your property does not exist.
In exchange for your permission, the Town will:
1. Provide you with the details of the work to be performed
2. Advise you of any vegetation, shrubs or trees that may need to be removed to
improve the drainage area
3. The Town will be solely responsible for the cost of the removal and replacement of
any fences located in the drainage areas
4. The Town will reseed and repair any damage to the yard/turf area as a result of the
drainage maintenance work
5. The Town will provide a minimum of 72 hours notice to the property owner prior to
commencing the drainage maintenance work
6. This agreement between the Town of Beaufort and the current property owner will
remain in effect until either the property is sold or the property owner rescinds their
permission
