The project consists of the construction of an observation pier with a step-down for kayak access.The proposed project has been determined to comply with the Rules of the Coastal Resources Commission(15 A NCAC 07H .1200),and therefore, a permit has been issued authorizing the development.I have enclosed a copy of the permit,as well as the applicable rules. I am in a very quiet, bird friendly area and any construction (esp. at our marsh) will be disruptive. It is difficult for me to completely understand by included drawings how this proposed project will actually impact my property. Our neighborhood has had issues with silt runoff into our marsh in the past and I do not feel that ramp construction will benefit this situation. Is there a way that someone in your department could walk me through this project? I would feel more informed and comfortable with this proposal. I understand that I have or soon will have new neighbors but anything going into our quiet marsh is a concern.
