violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become

confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local

Management on April 16,2018,regarding your concerns about the proposed development by McClammy
Farms,LLC,in Wilmington,New Hanover County. The project consists of the construction of an
observation pier with a step-down for kayak access.The proposed project has been determined to comply
with the Rules of the Coastal Resources Commission(15 A NCAC 07H .1200),and therefore, a permit
has been issued authorizing the development.I have enclosed a copy of the permit,as well as the
applicable rules.
If you wish to contest our decision to issue this permit,you may file a request for a Third-Party Appeal.
The Chairman of the Coastal Resources Commission will consider each case and determine whether to
grant your request to file for a Contested Case Hearing. The hearing request must be filed with the
Director,Division of Coastal Management, in writing and must be received within twenty(20)days of the

Dear Ms. Spears,
I have now received my 2nd Div of Coastal Mngt. notification (copies incl.) regarding the
requested construction of a canoe/kayak dock/walkway adjacent to my property by
Waterston (AKA McClammy Farms). I am in a very quiet, bird friendly area and any
construction (esp. at our marsh) will be disruptive.
It is difficult for me to completely understand by included drawings how this proposed
project will actually impact my property. Our neighborhood has had issues with silt
runoff into our marsh in the past and I do not feel that ramp construction will benefit this
situation.
Is there a way that someone in your department could walk me through this project? I
would feel more informed and comfortable with this proposal. I understand that I have
or soon will have new neighbors but anything going into our quiet marsh is a concern. I
am a kayaker and I do not have a ramp on my property; I have to drag my kayak down
to our boat slip which is about a half mile up Everetts Creek Dr.
