Any violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void. This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officerwhen the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian landowner(s) . The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available information and belief, certifythat this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program. DCM-MHD CI '. Attached please find a request from the Town of Beaufort to perform improvements to the existing pier located on Front Street and known as Fisherman's Park. The current facility is located on Taylor's Creek south of the intersection of Front and Gordon Streets. The specific improvements proposed are: - A wooden ADA compliant ramp to access the existing fixed pier from the Front Street sidewalk - An eight (8) foot by thirty (30) foot floating dock to be located west of the south end of the existing fixed pier - A four (4) foot by sixteen (16) foot aluminum ADA compliant gangway to connect the fixed pier to the new floating dock. Included in this packet are drawings of the improvements, a property map, executed adjacent riparian property owner waivers and a $200.00 filing fee.
