The area that needs to be excavated is 50 feet by 25 feet, the average depth of excavation 2 feet or approximately 93 cubic yards. Without this dredging the boating access is rapidly becoming unusable. The disposal site we would use is a previous authorized site located on Radio Island, commonly referred to as the Pake Construction site. All spoils material would be delivered by barge to the disposal site. The area to be dredged is the southern reaches of the channel just north of the mouth of the canal. It should be noted that this shoaling is almost identical to the projects we done for last several years. If any additional information is required please do not hesitate to contact me. The area that needs to be excavated is 120 feet by 50 feet and the average depth of excavated is 2 feet or approximately 444 cubic yards. Without this dredging the boating access is rapidly becoming unusable. The disposal site we would use is a previous authorized site located off Morgan Street, on Radio Island, in Morehead City, NC. All spoils material would be delivered by barge from the excavation site to the disposal site. I have included a drawing of the area to be dredged for your convenience. It should be noted that this shoaling is "IRENE" related in our opinion. If any additional information is required please do not hesitate to contact me. I thank you in advance.
