Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null andvoid.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythat this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Dear Ms Styron,
The Town of Atlantic Beach is requesting a CAMA general permit to do maintenance
dredging of the Causeway Channel that leads to several commercial businesses and
multiple residential boat docks. The areas that needs to be excavated are an area near
Buoy 5A,,125 feet by 50 feet, the average depth of excavation 1.5 feet or approximately
347 cubic yards; An area near Way Point 6, 125 feet by 50 feet, average depth of
excavation 1 foot or approximately 231 cubic yards and an area near Buoy 7, 150 by 25
feet, an average depth of excavation of 3 feet or approximately 417 cubic yards.
Without this dredging the boating access is rapidly becoming; unusable.
The disposal site we would use is a previous authorized site located on Radio Island,
commonly referred to as the Pake Construction site. All spoils material would be
delivered by barge to the disposal site.
