Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that [)prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythatthis project is consistentwith the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Dear Bill and Pat —
Greetings, neighbors. As you know our bulkhead was destroyed and we lost over 10 feet of
upland in the early October storm that hit our area. In order to repair/replace the bulkhead and
prevent any further loss of upland, we must reapply for a CAMA permit before we can start
work. With that said, we are sending you the required CAMA form, "Adjacent Riparian Property
Owner Notification form", for your signature and approval. Last time, when we extended the
side of the bulkhead adjacent to your property you approved the waiver from the setback and
hopefully you will again. It requires your initials and signature. We appreciate your help with
this process.
If you would like to comment on this replacement, per CAMA, such comments should be
directed to the Division of Coastal Management within 10 days of receipt of this notice. No
response on your part will be interpreted as no objection. Their contact information is as follows:
