Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythatthis project is consistentwith the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

I have written on two previous occasions to notify you of proposed work on neighboring
property owned by Water's Edge of Macon County, LLC. The project site is identified by
Carteret County as Lot 2 Water's Edge of Macon County, and is located on Bayview Drive
approximately 750 feet east of Yeoman's Drive. The lot was previously identified as Lot 34 of
the Earl Davis Subdivision.
Jed and Bud Haley of Water's Edge of Macon County, LLC appreciate your past assistance in
facilitating the .issuance of permits for the installation of septic improvements and for
construction of a single-family residence and driveway. On behalf of the owners we are now
applying for a general CAMA permit for construction of a bulkhead on the shoreline of the
property adjacent Eastmouth Bay.
CAMA requires that adjacent riparian property owners be notified of the proposed work and that
an opportunity be provided to the neighbors to comment or object to the proposal. As the owner
of an adjacent riparian property, we are hereby notifying you of the proposed plans.
Enclosed with this letter is a copy of the project drawings showing the location of the proposed
bulkhead. Also enclosed is an Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Notification/Waiver Form.

I have written on several previous occasions to notify you of proposed work on neighboring
property owned by Water's Edge of Macon County, LLC. The project site is identified by
Carteret County as Lot 2 Water's Edge of Macon County, and is located on Bayview Drive
approximately 750 feet east of Yeoman's Drive. The lot was previously identified as Lot 34 of
the Earl Davis Subdivision.
Jed Haley of Water's Edge of Macon County, LLC appreciates your past assistance in
facilitating issuance of permits for the installation of septic improvements and for construction of
a single-family residence and driveway. Most recently you assisted us with obtaining a permit
for placement of riprap along the shoreline of the property.
Mr. Haley has now modified his plans to include construction of a bulkhead along the eroded
escarpment, and placement of riprap in areas along the shoreline not experiencing such severe
erosion. The CAMA permit officer has asked us to send you a notification of this change in
plans, thus providing you an opportunity to comment or object to the current proposal.
Enclosed with this letter is a copy of the project drawings showing the location of the proposed
bulkhead and riprap. Also enclosed is an Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Notification/Waiver
Form.
