Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null andvoid.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowners).
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Channel Setback. as long as the anchoring pilings for the floating dock are behind the setback line and the dock has the

I have attached the google photo and the proposed site sketch we discussed this morning for the property at 1609 Front
St. in Beaufort along Taylors Creek. They are only wanting to install the floating platform over the channel setback.
Would the navigation section have a problem with this for a CAMA general pier permit? FYI you can barely see the
dotted channel setback line but I did draw an arrow to its location.

• Amended on January 6, 2010.

authorized docking facility.

better understand docks in Beaufort, NC. That helps me with care and maintenance of my dock, and
also gave me a better understanding of what my next door neighbors face with their dock.

will be doing the work on the 1609 Front Street dock. Attached to that email is a copy of the
Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Statement that I signed for the Carpenter's. With the
amendments to the design, I had no objection to their design.
