March 16, 2015 Ms. Heather Styron Division of Coastal Management 400 Commerce Avenue Morehead City, NC 28557 Dear Ms. Styron: Please accept this as our request for an exemption for the Brandywine Marina Association's breakwater repair project. As per our previous discussions and your request, I am enclosing drawings/specifications of the maintenance to be performed. 1 trust that you will find the specifications to be in line with discussions at our last meeting on the marina site. We propose to install approximately 448 L. F. of vinyl sheet pile, representing 50% of the structure's total length. Also, as discussed, we will be installing approximately fifty five (55) 8" vertical/batted pilings to replace decayed existing pilings. The contract for these repairs has been awarded to Bogue Banks Marine Construction, Inc. (Derek Smith). He has a crew that will be available for our project within the next seven to ten days and is therefore anxious to mobilize and begin placing needed materials on site. Any consideration that you are able to give for a prompt response will be very much appreciated. Please let me know if you should have any questions or need additional information. Sincerely, Az da-, 7 Jack L.
