Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that I) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythatthis project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Regional Office (910-796-7215) for more information on howto comply with these buffer rules.

I am Sue Amerson, the daughter of the late J.B.Hill, and your soon to be new neighbor at the beach.
You graciously signed the CAMA permit previously for our property. My husband and I are trying to put
in a boat lift and redo the pier at 140 Pond Dr. A picture of what we are proposing is enclosed. We are
asking you to waive the 15 foot easement even though we think we only need 5 feet to build this new
pier. Our builder has told us that we are not in compliance unless we have your permission for the
waiver.
We would greatly appreciate your help with this. I would love to see my grandson playing on the pier
