This letter is in reference to your request to extend CAMA Minor Permit 07-12, which was originally
issued on July 13, 2007. As you may be aware, Session Law 2009-406, entitled "An Act to Extend
Certain Government Approvals Affecting the Development of Real Property Within the State", was
enacted by the General Assembly and signed into law by Govemor Perdue on August 5, 2009. The
purpose of this Act was to prevent the abandonment of approved projects and activities due to the
unfavorable economic conditions, by adding additional time to certain pernuts. Therefore, in
accordance with this Act as amended by Session Law 2010-177, you are hereby informed that the
cuxxent expiration date for Minor Permit 07-12 is now officially extended until December 31, 2014.
You should attach this letter to the original of Minor Permit 07-12, as well as all subsequent
modifications, renewals and refinements, and copies of all documents shall be readily available on site
when a Division representative monitors the project for compliance. You are also advised that this
action does not eliminate the need to obtain any additional state, federal or local permits, approvals or
authorizations that may be required. Should you have any questions on this matter, please feel free to

Issued to Clifton Moss, authorized agent for Braxton and Shirley Tesh, authorizing development In the tst,uannv
Shoreline (AEC) at 5202 Driftwood Lane, in Spooner's Creek South, Morehead City, Carteret County, North Carolina, as
requested in the permittee's application, dated June 26, 2007. This permit, issued on Jul I , 2007, is subject to
compliance with the application and site drawing (where consistent with the permit), all applicable regulations and
special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject permittee to a fine, imprisonment
or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void.
This permit authorizes: building a single-family dwelling with a driveway, sidewalk, back deck, ramp or steps to dock, a deck
adjacent to dock, installing a well, backfilling bulkhead, removing root mast from hill and sodding hill, removing 38 pine trees, 3
cedar trees, 4 black cheny trees, removing stumps, and filling back to grade.
(1) All proposed development and associated construction must be done in accordance with the permitted work plat
drawings(s) dated received on June 26, 2007.
(2) All construction must conform to the N.C, Building Code requirements and all other local, State and Federal regulations,.
applicable local ordinances and FEMA Flood Regulations.
(3) Any changs or changes in the plans for development, construction, or land use activities will require a re-evaluation and
modification of this permit.
(4) A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site. Contact this office at 252-72MB48 ext. 125 for a final Inspection
at completion of work.

This permit action nay be appealed by the permi:tee or other qualified persons
within twenty (20) days of the issuing date. From the date of an appeal, any
work conducted under this permit ,nust cease until the appeal is resolved. This
permlt must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the
project is inspected for compliance. Any maintenance worK or project
modification not covered under this permit, require further written permit
approval. All work must cease when this permit expires on:

(8) Prior to any development, silt fence shall be properly installed between all planned land disturbance and the
adjacentmarsh and open water areas; the silt fence shall be properly maintained throughout the construction
period. Silt fence shall be installed such that it is properly toed -in to the soil.
(9) All unconsolidated material resulting from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on site by effective
sedimentation and erosion control measures. Prior to any land -disturbing activities, a banter line of filter cloth must
be installed between the land disturbing actnrity and the adjacent marsh or water areas, until such tune as the area
has been properly stabilized with a vegetative cover.
(10) All other disturbed areas shall be vegetatively stabilized (planted and mulched) within 14 days of construction
completion.
