RANOY MARTIN Co Manager 509 Avery Street AREA OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN - ESTUARINE SHORELINE Dear Mr. Bolster. I have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your Building Permit Application concerning the necessary filing of an application for a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. After making a site inspection on 9/18/07,1 have determined that the activity you propose is exempt from needing a minor development permit as long as it remains consistent with your site drawing dated 9/13107, and meets the conditions specified below for accessory uses under 15A NCAC 07K.0209 (a) and General Statute 113A-103(5)b.6. In addition, the accessory building cannot have plumbing, electrical or other service connections. if your plans should change and your project will no longer meet these conditions, please contact me before proceeding. Accessory Uses 1. The building footprint is not to exceed 160 square feet. 7. The placement of the accessory building must not involve filing, excavation, or the alteration of sand dunes or beach. 3. The placement of the accessory building must not involve removal, damage, or destruction of threatened or endangered animal or plant species. 4. The placement of the accessory building must not alter naturally or artificially created surface drainage channels. 5. The placement of the accessory building must be consistent with all applicable use standards and local land use plans in effect at the time the exemption is granted. 6. The accessory building must comply with the Town of Morehead City's Flood Plan Management Ordinance. This exemption to CAMA permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of your obtaining any other State, Federal or Local authorization. This exemption expires 90 days from the date of the letter. Sinc, Iy, ! f Robert avis, LPO Town of Morehead City 706 Arendell Street Morehead City, NC 28557 Cc: Heather Styron, CAMA Field Rep.
