ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN (15A NCAC 07K .0208)

Dear Mr. Gaskill:
I have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your inquiry concerning the
necessary filing of an application for a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act.
After making a site inspection on October 17, 2006, I have determined that the activity you propose is exempt
from needing a minor development permit as long as it remains consistent with your site drawing submitted on
October 16, 2006 and it also meets the conditions specified below. If you plans should change and your
project will no longer meet these conditions, please contact me before proceeding.

SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES WITHIN THE ESTAURINE SHORELINE AREA OF ENVIRONMENTAL V '
CONCERN EXEMPTED ON
1. All development shall be located at least 50 feet of the mean high water mark or normal T-
water level from waters classified as ORW.�A
2. No ground disturbance or land disturbing activity shall occur within 40 feet of the mean high n
water mark or normal water level from waters classified as ORW. 1J� -
3. The development may not exceed a 25% built upon area within 575 feet of the mean high
water mark or normal water level of waters classified as ORW, and shall not include any
stormwater collection system.
4. The development shall be consistent with all other applicable CAMA permit standards, j
North Carolina Building Code standards, local ordinances and local land use plans in effect
at the time the exemption is granted.

6. Pursuant to 15NCAC, subchapter 7J.0406(b), this permit may not be assigned, erred,
sold or otherwise disposed of to a third party. 1�

7. Stormwater collection systems are prohibited.

9. The total amount of impervious area allowed is 4,998.51 and your total impervious area is
3,848.

This exemption to CAMA permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of your obtaining any other
State, Federal or Local authorization. This exemption expires one (1) year from the date of the letter.
