This permit, issued on 6/06/05 . is subject to compliance with the application and site drawing (where consistent
with the permit), all applicable regulations and special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject
permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void.

Permit Number
This is a permit authorizing the construction of a handicap ramp approximately 57' landward of the sea wall
located at 511 W. Boardwalk. Any other development will require additional permits or modification of this
permit. The following conditions shall apply:
All proposed development and associated construction must be done in -accordance with the permitted workplat
drawing as submitted, stamped and received on May 26, 2005. This permit does not authorize an increase in
impervious surface coverage.
Only negligible alteration of the dunes is allowed during construction and any disturbed areas of vegetation shall be
revegetated immediately.
Any structure authorized by this permit shall be relocated or dismantled when it becomes imminently threatened by
changes in shoreline configuration. The structures shall be relocated or dismantled within 2 years of the time when it
becomes imminently threatened, and in any case, upon its collapse or subsidence. However, if natural shoreline
recovery or beach renourishment takes place within 2 years of the time the structure becomes imminently threatened,
so that the structure is no longer imminently threatened, then it need not be relocated or dismantled at that time. This
condition shall not affect the permit holder's right to seek authorization of temporary protective measures allowed
under CRC Rules.
All construction must conform to the North Carolina Building Code requirements and all other Local, State and Federal
regulations.
Pursuant to 15 NCAC, Subchapter 7J.0406(b), this permit may not be assigned; transferred, sold or otherwise
disposed of to a third party. This permit may be renewed for one year if requested before the expiration date.
This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other
qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date.
From the date of an appeal, any work conducted under this per-
mit m.st cease until the appeal is resolved.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modifications not covered
under this permit requires further written permit approval.
All work must cease when this permit expires on December .

with the local Land Use Plan and all applicable ordinances.

The N.C. Division of Coastal Management hereby acknowledges receipt of your application for
State approval for minor development of your property located at 511 W. Boardwalk in Atlantic
Beach in Carteret County. It was received complete on May 26, 2005 and appears to be
adequate for processing at this time. The deadline for making a permit decision is June 20, 2005.
NCGS 113A-119(b) requires that Notice of an application be posted at the location of the
proposed development. Enclosed you will find a "Notice of Permit Filing" postcard which must be
posted at the property of your proposed development. You should post this notice at a
conspicuous point along your property where it can be observed from a public road. Some
examples would be: Nailing the notice card to a telephone pole or tree along the road right-of-
way fronting your property; or at a point along the road right-of-way where a private road would
lead one into your property. Failure to post this notice could result in an incomplete application.
An onsite inspection will be made, and if additional information is required, you will be notified.

CAMA Permits in areas of environmental concern, hereby gives notice that on May 26, 2005
Ruthmary Pope applied for a CAMA Permit to construct a handicap ramp located at 511 W.

Public comments received by June 6, 2005 will be considered. Later comments will be
