We have received your proposal fo'r development regulated by the
Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA). The activity you propose is exempt
from needing a Minor Development Permit as long as it meets the
conditions specified below. If your plans should ebangQ and your
project will no longer meet these conditions, please contact me before
proceeding.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY: Construction of a single-family
dwelling.
CONDITIONS: Any change in this proposal shall be reevaluated by
the CAMA Officer. A building permit is required. Construction must be
performed in accordance with the permitted wor1cplat drawing originally
submitted 03/24/05. All construction must conform to the NC Building
Code and all other Local, State, and Federal regulations
IN ADDITION, THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS APPLY TO YOUR PROJECT:
1. The amount of built -upon area shall be limited to no more
than 25% of the Outstanding Resource Water (ORW) area of
the land to be developedt in this case, 5662 sq. it.
2. In order to prevent sedimentation, a vegetated buffer zone
roust be maintained between all disturbed areas and the
adjacent water body or marsh. In this case a 396 foot wide
buffet' has been accepted.
3. A 30-foot buffer must be provided from the mean high water
line (normal water line).
4. Storm water collection systems are prohibited.
S. Pursuant to 15 NCAC, subchapter 7J.0406(b), this permit may
not be assigned, transferred, sold or otherwise disposed of
to a third party.
This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA Minor Development
Permit is valid for ninety (90) days from the date of issuance.

requirements and all other Local, State and Federal regulations.
3. Any change or changes in the plans for development, construction,
or land use activities will require a re-evaluation and
modification of this permit.
4. Prior to initiating any land -disturbing activities, a barrier
line of filter cloth, staked hay bales, or burlap must be
installed between the land -disturbing activity and the adjacent
marsh or water areas, until such time as the Area has been
properly stabilized with a vegetated cover.
5. Pursuant to 15 NCAC, Subchapter 7J.0406(b), this permit may not
be assigned, transferred, sold or otherwise disposed of to a
third -party.
6. No excavation or filling of any wetlands or waters is authorized
under this permit.
7. This permit is issued for maintenance of existing systems only.
8. A copy of this permit: shall be available onsite for regulatory
inspection.
This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other
qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date.
From the date of an appeal, any work conducted under this per.
mit must cease until the appeal is resolved.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modifications not covered
under this permit requires further written permit approval.

This permit may not be transferred to another party without
