Carteret County as requested in the permittee's application, dated 9/28/05
This permit, issued on 10/03/05 is subject to compliance with the application and site drawing (where consistent
with the permit), all applicable regulations and special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject
permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void.
MDDMCMON
This is a permit authorizing the construction of a single family dwelling located 6' landward of the high water
mark with an 11' x 18' open deck located 4' landward of the high water mark located at Lot #23 Pelican Park.
Any other development will require additional permits or a modification of this permit. The following conditions
shall apply:
All proposed development and associated construction must be done in accordance with the permitted workplat drawing
as revised, stamped and received on September 28, 2005. The size of the new single family dwelling is 20.67' x 33'
(682.11 sq. ft. within the 75' AEC) whereas the old mobile home was 12' x 50' with a 6.25' x 5.67' storage shed and a
79.14 sq. ft. concrete slab (686.19 sq. ft. within the 75' AEC). The impervious coverage within the 75' AEC authorized
by this permit is 4.08 sq. ft. less than the existing impervious coverage within the 75' AEC.
All construction must conform to the N.C. Building Code requirements and all local, state and federal regulations
Any change or changes in the plans for development, construction, or land use activities will require a re-evaluation and
modification of this permit.
In order to prevent sedimentation, a vegetated buffer zone must be maintained between all disturbed areas and the
adjacent water body or marsh. Prior to initiating any land -disturbing activities, a barrier line of filter cloth, staked hay
bales or burlap must be installed between the land -disturbing activity and the adjacent marsh or water areas, until such
time as the area has been properly stabilized with a vegetated cover.
Pursuant to 15 NCAC, Subchapter 7J.0406(b), this permit may not be assigned, transferred, sold or otherwise disposed
of to a third party.
This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other
qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date.
From the date of an appeal, any work conducted under this per-
mit must cease until the appeal is resolved.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modifications not covered
under this permit requires further written permit approval.
All work must cease when this permit expires on December
31. 2007
In issuing this permit it is agreed that this project is consistent
with the local Land Use Plan and all applicable ordinances.
This permit may not be transferred to another party without
the written approval of the Division of Coastal Management.
