Dear Mr. Whitaker:
Through coordination with Ms. Eileen M. Benton of the Town of Atlantic
Beach, we have learned of your plans to construct a pier on Bogue Sound,
Atlantic Beach, Carteret County, North Carolina.

enclosed) that authorizes the maintenance, repair, construction, and
installation of piers, docks, boathouses, boatshelters, mooring pilings,
dolphins and jetties in navigable waters of the United States in the State of

Your proposed work is authorized if you can comply with all general
permit conditions. Please read the enclosed permit to prevent an
unintentional violation of Federal law.
