The proposed project, as submitted, is in accordance with the enclosed Criteria for Exemption and will not not require a minor development permit. However, if your plans should change you will need to contact this office before proceeding. The proposed project and location is described as follows: A 4' x 112' pier with a "T" end of 8' x 161. This pier replaces one destroyed in the "Storm of the Century". The location is at Magnolia Shores (#H093-32/33) on the Neuse River near Arapahoe, North Carolina in Pamlico County. This certification of Exemption from requiring a C.A.M:A. Minor Permit is valid for ninety days from the date of issuance - applies ONLY to exemptions for piers, docks, and decks pursuant to 15A NCAC . 7% .0203 and NOT for single family dwellings. Following expiration, a re-examination of. the project and project site may be necessary to renew this certification. Any violation of these terms may subject permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; or may cause the permit to be null and void. 1. Permittee,must take all necessary precautions to prevent any sedimentation or foreign debris from entering any ditches, guts, creeks, streams or bays. 2. Permittee must provide adequate ground cover to prevent any erosion within 30 days of completion of the project. 3. Permittee must obtain all necessary building permits -prior to beginning construction. 4. This permit authorizes only the activity specifically mentioned on the application and site drawing submitted for this permit. 5. Any further land disturbing activity may require additional permits prior to beginning the activity. 6. Permittee must notify the L.P.O. upon completion of the project to allow for inspection for compliance of the applicable Code regul- ations, .etc. This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date. From the date of an appeal, any work conducted under this permit must cease until the appeal is resolved. This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
