We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in
your inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for
a minor development permit under the -Coastal Area Management Act.
The proposed project, as submitted, is in accordance with the
enclosed Criteria for Exemption and will not not require a minor
development permit. However, if your plans should change you will
need to contact this office before proceeding.
The proposed project and ;cat -ion is described as follows:
A pier/walkway 6' x 160' with a "'L"".end being 6' x 40, at your
property, lots 017 and 018 of Dawson Creek Hills Subdivision on
Dawson Creek in Pamlico County N. C. (Tax ID #G091-24).
This certification of Exemption from requiring a C.A.M.A. Minor
Permit is valid for ninety days from the date of issuance - applies
ONLY to 'exemptions for piers, docks, and decks pursuant to 15A NCAC
7K .02.03 and NOT for single family dwellings. Following expiration,
a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary to
renew this certification.
Prior to beginning the project a building permit is required
