Sims North Carolina 27880 Exempted Project No: 1736 Site inspection 4/14/93 Dear Mr. and Mrs. Varley: We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. The proposed project, as submitted, is in accordance with the enclosed Criteria for Exemption and will not require a minor development permit. However, if your plans should change you will need to contact this office before proceeding. Proposed project and location is described as: A 6' x 200, "T" shaped pier and walkway; the "T" end being 6' x 461. Approx- imately 64' will be over land and 136' over water. The location is your lot #3 of the Rosa Rice Subdivision off SR1330 on Bay River near the Pamlico County Community of Florence, N. C. This Certification of Exemption from requiring a C.A.M.A. Minor Permit is valid for ninety days from the date of issuance - applies ONLY to exemptions for piers, docks, and decks pursuant to 15A NCAC 7K .0203 and NOT for single family dwellings. Following expiration, a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary to renew this certification. Prior to beginning the project a building permit is required If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact us.
