Dear Mr. Mason:
We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your
inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for a minor
development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. The proposed
project, as submitted, is in accordance with the enclosed Criteria for
Exemption and will not require a minor development permit. However,
if your plans should change you will need to contact this office
before proceeding.
Proposed project and location is described as: A 5.5' x 80' pier
with a "T end of 10' x 15' to be constructed at your property in the
Indian Bluffs Subdivision (Tax Parcel #F094-12) on the Neuse River
near the 'Pamlico County Community of Minnesott, N. C.
This Certification of Exemption from requiring a C.A.M.A. Minor
Permit is valid for ninety days from the date of issuance - applies
ONLY to exemptions for piers, docks, and decks pursuant to 15A NCAC
7K .0203 and NOT for single family dwellings. Following expiration,
a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary to
renew this certification.
Prior to beginning the project a building permit is required
