Dear Mr. Mackey:
We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in
your inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for
a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act.
The proposed,project, as submitted, is in accordance with the
enclosed Criteria for Exemption and will not not require a minor
development.peVmit. ,However, if your plans should change you will
need to contact this office before proceeding.
The proposed project and location is described as follows:
A walkway 5' x 64' over marshland joining a pier 5' x 32, with a
10' x 20' "L" end at your property in Brandy Bay Estates.on Ball
Creek near Florence in Pamlico County North Carolina.
This certification of Exemption from requiring a C.A.M.A. Minor
Permit is valid for ninety days from the date of issuance - applies
ONLY to exemptions for piers, docks, and decks pursuant to 15A NCAC
7K .0203 and NOT for single family dwellings. Following expiration,
a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary to
renew this certification. It
