We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in
your inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for
a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act.
The proposed project, as submitted, is in accordance with the
enclosed Criteria for Exemption and will not not require a minor
development permit. However, if your plans should -change you will
need to contact this office before proceeding.
The proposed project and location is described as follows:
Cutting of trees and general landscaping for construction of a
single-family residential dwelling on Lot #31 of Dolphin Point
Subdivision on Pierce Creek in Oriental, North Carolina; Pamlico
County.
This certification of Exemption from requiring a C.A.M.A. Minor
Permit is valid for ninety days from the date of issuance - applies
ONLY to exemptions for piers, docks, and decks pursuant to 15A NCAC
7K .0203 and NOT for single family dwellings. Following expiration,
a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary to
renew this certification.
Prior to beginning the project a building permit is required
