We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your
inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for a minor
development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. The project
you propose, as submitted, is exempt from needing a minor development
permit. However, if your plans should change you will need to contact
this office before proceeding.
Proposed project and location described as: _A 5' x 48' pier
extension to an existing pier and a boat lift at lot 410 of c,rest-
Shore Estates off SR 1321 on Broad Creek near the Pamli_o Cnunty
Cormunity of Oriental, N. C.
This certification of exemption from requiring a C.A.M.A. Minor Permit
is valid for ninety (90) days from the date of issuance. Following expir-
ation, a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary to
renew this certification.
Prior to beginning the project, a building permitis required. If you
have any questions regarding this matter, please contact us.

ADJACENT RIPARIAN LANDOWNERS STATEMENT
General Statute 113-229 requires that riparian landowners
with property adjoining a proposed excavation and/or fill project
be given thirty (30) days in which to comment on the project.
This form allows the adjacent riparian landowner to express
either: (1) That he objects to the project; or, (2) That he does
not object and desires to waive his right to the 30-day period so
that the processing of the application can progress more rapidly.
Of course, the adjacent riparian landowner need not sign this
form at allf he so chooses.
